The Lord Ruler's perfect capital city, Luthadel, is doing the impossible: rebelling. Skaa half-breeds are being taught the power of Allomancy, something that the Lord Ruler's obligators said only existed in the nobility. The enslaved skaa, with their murderous benefactor, now fight back against a living god's oppression.

So, the Inquisition was formed. The nobles begin to fear assassination from all sides. The times of nobility Mistborn killing each other are over. The Steel Inquisitors look for aristocrat traitors and insurgent skaa, and the skaa try with all their strength to merely survive. The Lord Ruler's perfect Final Empire is slowly devolving into chaos.

Felix would have preferred the rum at this point. He did want to get rid of that horrific taste in his mouth. Felix looked back at the table that they had just come from, to pick out the name of their house... so he could avoid putting himself through that torture again.

He searched around the room for a good wine. Something that would leave this afternoon on a high note. "Rum is probably a bad idea for our other plans, but I'm sure we can find a Shiraz..." He looked around the room for a familiar name.

"That is unfortunate," Felix said finding a table that might suit their current predicament. The only problem was that they would have to go back by the Tremaine table. That wasn't going to happen. "House Steere has a pretty decent Shiraz, but we'll have to try it another time when they're not stationed next to Tremaine's table."

He looked the other direction. "Let's try something from House Covell. I have heard good things about them but have not been able to try anything of theirs yet." Felix pointed to their table, and led his cousin there. "I'm not sure if they have a Shiraz, but hopefully they have something decent, anyway."
