The Lord Ruler's perfect capital city, Luthadel, is doing the impossible: rebelling. Skaa half-breeds are being taught the power of Allomancy, something that the Lord Ruler's obligators said only existed in the nobility. The enslaved skaa, with their murderous benefactor, now fight back against a living god's oppression.

So, the Inquisition was formed. The nobles begin to fear assassination from all sides. The times of nobility Mistborn killing each other are over. The Steel Inquisitors look for aristocrat traitors and insurgent skaa, and the skaa try with all their strength to merely survive. The Lord Ruler's perfect Final Empire is slowly devolving into chaos.

"Marcus Graham"
Misting

Player Information
Handle : Marcus Graham
Contact : PM will do

Character Information
Name: Marcus Graham
Age: 23
Type: Noble
Gender: Male
Occupation: Guard Captain
Marital Status: Single

Powers
Type of Powers: Allomancy - Misting
Metals Used: Pewter
Degree of Skill: Novice

Appearance
Hair: Brown hair; it hangs down to his cheekbones, but he keeps it pulled back behind his ears.
Eyes: Green eyes, with a fairly heavy brow.
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 186 lbs
Voice: Moderately deep and dry, although it tends to perk up and gain a bit of personality when he is speaking with friends.
Overall Appearance: His body is in good shape, with relatively broad shoulders. When not dressed in his regular guard captain uniform, he prefers to dress very casual, in clothing almost as plain as a skaa's. His facial features are blunt and plain, neither "pretty" nor rugged.

Other
Special Skills: Reading, Writing, Cartography, Swordsmanship, and Pewter Burning.
Strengths: Marcus can keep his cool during intense situations. This includes the ability to keep his use of pewter very subtle, to the point that most people have no clue that he is using it. Although not the most charismatic, his skills in other areas of leadership are exceptional.
Weaknesses: His ability to control his pewter burning is to a fault. He struggles when trying to flare his pewter. Part of this comes from inexperience, and part of it comes from his instinct to keep his pewter burning subtle. He's holding himself back in that area. As mentioned, he's not very charismatic, and will often open his mouth at the wrong time. Among his friends, it is hard to tell when he is being serious.

Personality
In his professional and personal worlds, he is two entirely different people.
While on duty as a guard captain, he is very calm, serious, and, honestly, quite boring. Rather than having fun and making crude jokes with the rest of the guards, he keeps to himself. He is constantly analyzing the situation in Luthadel, even when it seems that there is nothing for the guards to worry about. He lacks charisma, but he does his best to encourage his fellow guards, and make them feel important. When in the presence of his superiors, he tends to sink into the background and go unnoticed.
In his personal life, Marcus is completely different. He is very mellow and fun-loving. He is not into all of the pomp and circumstance of noble life, and when he attends balls, it is not with the intention of strengthening any political bonds, or gaining favor with his superiors. He is usually there just to enjoy a good drink and a few dances. He relishes the time he has to himself, and likes to spend it on his family's estate, outside Luthadel, simply relaxing.

History
Marcus Graham comes from a noble family of little significance. In the earlier days of the Final Empire, his ancestors made a name for themselves as cartographers. Now, however, most of the Final Empire has been thoroughly mapped out. His father, Alastar Graham, now keeps the family business going by providing maps of trade routes, and the current demographics of the Final Empire's economy. However, Marcus's older brother, Victor, is out in the distant islands of the Southern Dominance, still finding the occasional uncharted island.
Growing up only an hour's ride by horseback from Luthadel, Marcus is not unfamiliar with city life. He prefers the tranquility of his family's estate, but does enjoy the conveniences offered by the big city. Although his family faithfully follows the Lord Ruler, they're far from being zealots.
While a young teenager, Marcus fell very ill. Physicians did what they could, but his condition only worsened. After months in bed, it came to the point where they didn't expect him to last another week. It was in that time that would have been the last hours of his life, that he snapped. He didn't even notice it at first, but he slowly began to recover. His older brother, who had snapped and gained the ability to burn pewter a few years earlier, suspected that Marcus might do the same while his body was suffering so. He had begun to slip small bits of pewter in with what little food Marcus could handle. Only three weeks after physicians had declared that the boy was as good as dead, Marcus was up and about, only slightly weak.
His parents, upon realizing that another one of their children was a Misting, felt it was best to keep such information to themselves, and encouraged Marcus to be cautious in how he used his abilities.
As he reached adulthood, Marcus joined the Luthadel garrison, and after a year, his father was able to use what little political influence he had to get Marcus a position as a low-ranking guard captain at the Steel Gate.

Roleplay Sample
Marcus Graham watched the carriage with a wary eye as it rolled on through the Steel Gate. The rickety old carriage, pulled by a single horse, driven by an old skaa with a hunched back, made a distinct jingle as it bounced along the cobblestone road. One didn't have to be a Tineye to recognize the sound of an abundance of boxings.
Marcus signaled to two of his guards, Edwyn and Harold, and they motioned for the carriage to stop. As Marcus walked across the cobblestone to the carriage, he noticed that the red sun would soon be setting. The mists would soon be upon the ash-laden city of Luthadel.
And I'll be done for the night. he thought with a grin.
"Is something the matter?" asked a portly merchant, poking his head out of the carriage window.
"We just need to check your cargo, sir," answered Marcus.
Keeping a straight face, the merchant replied, "Go right ahead."
Dusting the ash off of the back of the carriage, Edwyn opened the small storage area, to reveal two boxes that filled the whol back of the carriage. Checking inside, Marcus found them both full of boxings.
"That's an awful lot of boxings, sir," commented Marcus.
"I'm just delivering it to the Canton of Finance Headquarters, that's all."
"I mean no offense, but I'd expect a man with this much wealth to be traveling in a slightly better carriage."
Snorting at Marcus's remark, the merchant replied, "Well, perhaps some of us have better things to invest our money in than a fancy carriage."
Marcus shrugged. "Perhaps. You can go."
As the carriage rolled on down the road, Marcus turned to Harold.
"I want you to keep an eye on that carriage for the rest of the night. Report to me or Captain Flatweather of any suspicious activity you see."
"Yes, sir."
As Harold left in pursuit of the carriage, Marcus looked back out at the sky. The sun was nearly set.
And, thank the Lord Ruler, I'm about done tonight.

Looks good. I loved the fact that his family are cartographers. Very unique.

Accepted

(Did not think of this before. But Miyabi is right. Please watch out for God-Modding. You may only say what your character says/does.)
