So, the Inquisition was formed. The nobles begin to fear assassination from all sides. The times of nobility Mistborn killing each other are over. Character Information
Name: Oravelia Lynda Ewing
Age: Seventeen
Type: Noble
Gender: Female
Occupation: None
Marital Status: Single

Type of Powers: Allomancy
Metals Used: All
Degree of Skill: Intermediate

Hair: Shoulder length bleach blonde locks, to which she usually adds a hair piece.
Eyes: Almond shaped with irises of cerulean blue.
Height: 5? 5??
Weight: 100lbs
Voice: She has a very lilting voice, and often speaks with a lot of emotion.
Overall Appearance: Ora, as most call her, is an up and comer in Luthadel?s noble society, and looks as such. Her skin is very pale and as smooth as silk. She has a full cherubic face, and is often said to be rather plain. Thank the Lord Ruler for her makeup that she uses to accentuate her features. The girls almond shaped blue eyes sit over a button nose and supple lips. She has a slender body, and always strives to keep up with the latest fashions.

Special Skills: Reading, Writing, Swimming, Sewing
Strengths: Ora is a very smart girl. She is quick-witted, learns fast, and is good at problem solving. Ora?s main strength is her compassion. She is a loving girl, and thinks that love will prevail through almost anything. Ora would never leave someone in their time of need. Ora is also very skilled in the physical metals Iron, and Steel.
Weaknesses: Ora is a horrible liar, and she is even worse at manipulating people. She is also very weak in politics, which in Luthadel is a very big hindrance. Some would say that her compassion is also a weakness, but Ora thinks otherwise. Ora?s main Allomantic weakness is the emotional metals, which means she hardly ever uses them.

Ora is a complex individual, her entire life has been spent to be groomed by her family into the perfect noblewoman. Being the strong willed girl that Ora is, and the fact that she has been told what to do her entire life, she is usually defiant to any type authority. At court, she plays the role that she is meant to play and lets that be just enough to please her family. Though at times she can get a bit too opinionated and has trouble holding her tongue towards certain individual?s nasty comments. When she is surrounded by those she is most comfortable with, the real Oravelia can be seen. The easy going young woman that does not stress about the small things in life. Ora has a unique outlook on Noble life, and sees most aspects of it as an annoyance rather than a privilege. Ora would prefer to stay out of the dirty little world of politics. Her main motivation in life is to just be happy, and for Ora that means having her freedom. Even if she had no where to go, she would at least be happy with the option to go anywhere at all. Her softer side can be seen when she is in the presence of her closest companions, whether it is her Terrisman Steward, or one of the other servants in House Ewing. Ora tends to relate more to Skaa than her own peers, for the simple fact that she too feels like a prisoner, and sometimes even a slave for her own father?s advancement.

Oravelia was born to a Noble family in Luthadel almost exactly seventeen years ago. Her family is a well known Great House in Luthadel, which gained power years ago through a contract with other lesser noble houses in the area that produce cotton, wool, and flax. Today House Ewing is the top textiles producer in the Empire. Almost every piece of fabric that has been woven has been through House Ewing. All this means that Ewing has been on the rise in recent years as far as monetary assets. So naturally Oravelia grew up living a comfortable life. Since an early age Ora has been able to do something that most cannot, see hope in such a dreary world. Ora finds even the most simple things beautiful, and used to collect hundreds of small trinkets in her Quarters at an early age. She still holds the small treasures in a large box in her father?s Keep, and has even been found to sneak things into her pockets to save in her box when no one is watching.

Ora gained her namesake from her father Orav Ewing. In her younger years as a child Ora grew very close to her father, and held him in high regard. Until the day it was her turn to be tested as an Allomancer. Ora was beaten badly while her own father watched. The beating caused Ora to snap, revealing to her father that she was Mistborn. Orav never told anyone that his daughter was Mistborn, save for a few members of their own House. From that day on Oravelia has never answered to her birth name and shortened her name to Ora. This also marked the day when Ora?s views on her own society were drastically changed. Ora?s mother and father were extremely traditional like most nobility, and chided Ora for her new attitude. Soon her rebellious attitude gained her nothing but lashings, and Ora quickly realized that to rebel meant to be punished, and so she found other ways to rebel, other than opposing authority.

Ora soon began to do things behind her mother and father?s backs. It all started with befriending the servants when she was still very young. Ora would spend hours speaking with the skaa servants in the kitchen, and around the keep late in the night. She would even help them with their chores around the keep in secret, thinking of it as a way to defy her father?s wishes and not catch the beating it would surly warrant.

Ora began her training as a Mistborn shortly after she was discovered to have Allomantic abilities. She showed to be a promising student when she actually applied herself to the lesson, and showed extreme potential in the pushing and pulling of metals. She quickly gained skill in just a few short years, and now at the age of seventeen she is a accomplished Mistborn. Though her father thinks she should be far beyond her actual abilities, given her talent. But shorting herself is just another way to defy him. After her sixteenth birthday Ora was put under the watchful eye of her Terrisman Steward, Minh. But after a year of service the reinforcement chosen by her father has proved more as an ally to Ora than an actual help to her father. He is her closest friend. And in recent days Ora has taken to escaping her prison at night, with the help of her Steward, and bounding through the city with the use of her allomancy. It is the only time that Ora feels truly free to be herself.

Roleplay Sample
Ash fell from the sky.

It was something so simple, something that Ora had never really been able to envision until this very moment. She was a prisoner in her own home. Years worth of her rebellious attitude snapped into place as she stood atop a large building in Luthadel?s Industrial District. The ash fell lightly tonight, as it did most nights, and the thick mist swirled around her. Ora stepped forward lightly, her copper burning securely in her stomach to hide her presence to others. She was finally free of her father, and his constant requirements of her. She no longer felt like Oravelia Ewing, or the disappointing daughter, or even Orav?s precious Mistborn. She was just Ora. That simple realization brought more contentment into her heart than she had ever felt in her life. I can be myself, out here in the mists. This is my home. She thought to herself, crouching down onto the ledge.

And as the sudden realization hit her, she glanced behind her at the rising sun on the horizon. The feeling of disappointment hit her like a ton of bricks, and she rocked forward slightly and fell from the rooftop.

Ora left a downward trail in the mist, feeling its cool touch on her skin as she fell. Just before she reached the ground Ora pushed hard on a metal post a few feet behind where she would have landed, rocketing herself at an angle through the air, and over the next few rows of buildings, making her way back to her prison cell?.

? As Ora landed softly on the ledge, she took one last look over her shoulder at the red sun just peaking over the horizon. Already the mists had started to dissipate and she let out a sigh and unlatched the window, and crept inside.

Minh lay slumped in a large plush chair in the corner of the lavish room, his bald head lolled to one side, and drool escaping his mouth. Ora stifled a laugh as she walked over to him, and gently tapped on his bald head. ?You should wake up, before my father catches you in my quarters at this hour.? She whispered, as she turned toward her large armoire and pulled the latch open. ?I have to get changed and get a bit of sleep before tonight. My father is forcing me to make an appearance with him.? She rolled her eyes.

As Minh dragged himself out of the chair with a grumble she pursed her lips before saying, ?Thank you Minh. You really are the only friend I have, and this night meant more to me than you will ever know.?

Good stuff! I like this version much better than the old Ora. Good character conflicts. I definitely want to see where her character progresses.
