The Lord Ruler's perfect capital city, Luthadel, is doing the impossible: rebelling. Skaa half-breeds are being taught the power of Allomancy, something that the Lord Ruler's obligators said only existed in the nobility. The enslaved skaa, with their murderous benefactor, now fight back against a living god's oppression.

So, the Inquisition was formed. The nobles begin to fear assassination from all sides. The times of nobility Mistborn killing each other are over. The Steel Inquisitors look for aristocrat traitors and insurgent skaa, and the skaa try with all their strength to merely survive. The Lord Ruler's perfect Final Empire is slowly devolving into chaos.

Here's a Google doc spreadsheet which lists every noble house and surname that we know of. Seriously, there's over a hundred. We pretty much stole up every surname that ever appeared in the books, in RP, in character applications, or in house applications. If you are having difficulty coming up with surnames for your nobles, check this list out! In fact, there are some house names listed here that are unallocated. You are free to use those! We just thought those names sounded Mistborny, so they went on the list.

A couple of notes on the columns:

Canon - If a house is marked "Yes" in this column, that means it is a name that appears in the trilogy (or possibly Alloy).
MBI - These are fan-made, MBI houses.
Description - A quick description of a given house, usually containing info on what the house does or listing a critical ally. Typically if a house is also a canonical house, this slot describes what the books say about them as well.
SE (Socioeconomic) Rating - A house's socioeconomic rating, as explained here. Great Houses are ranked by this number. This may change as the RP progresses.
Type - A house's classification.
Homeland - Which Dominance the house hails from.
City - This either refers to the precise ancestral home city of a house, or the cities that a house operates in. Can be blank if it is obvious.
Bid? - These houses are known or highly suspected to be making a Luthadel bid to become a Great House. There are probably twenty to thirty houses attempting a bid at any given time.
Free? - If this is marked "Yes," then there is currently no information supplied about them. You are free to use these surnames at will. (There are a few canonical houses which are marked as Free, simply because we have no information to make even a grossly inadequate guess about them. If you are thinking of using a Free house that is also marked as canonical, please discuss it with the staff.)
House Application - A link to a house's application, if it exists. Many of these surnames are not player houses, so do not expect there to be many houses with info in this column.

If you find errors in the spreadsheet, or would like to expand your house's information here, please let us know! There's a lot of surnames and houses floating around, and any help is greatly appreciated. There are lots of blank spots, so if your houses have some, it would be wonderful to fill that in!
