The Lord Ruler's perfect capital city, Luthadel, is doing the impossible: rebelling. Skaa half-breeds are being taught the power of Allomancy, something that the Lord Ruler's obligators said only existed in the nobility. The enslaved skaa, with their murderous benefactor, now fight back against a living god's oppression.

So, the Inquisition was formed. The nobles begin to fear assassination from all sides. The times of nobility Mistborn killing each other are over. The Steel Inquisitors look for aristocrat traitors and insurgent skaa, and the skaa try with all their strength to merely survive. The Lord Ruler's perfect Final Empire is slowly devolving into chaos.

Mercenary House: Information, Assassinations, Allomancers, Soldiers

Good Morning fine noblemen of Luthadel,
Do you hate having to take risks to assassinate your political enemies? Do you not want to risk your allomancers in a doomed assassination attempt? Do want to assassinate someone without the blame being pinned on you? Do you want to get your information from the man with the most intricate network of spies in Luthadel? Well look no further. House Ereh offers all these things at an extremely low cost and has a reputation for privacy. We do not ask you any unnecessary questions and leave your motives to you. If anything you have read interests you contact Susa Ereh now.

Jokes aside I am creating a niche house focused on mercenary dealings and I feel that having an assassin seperate from the great houses would be useful for plots you may have in motion. I think that plotting should occur on this topic or on PC.

It seems that Susa Ereh is making an effort to remain neutral in house politics.

Susa is a tall, strongly built man with a rectangular face. He has the build of a warrior and is heavily scarred. He is over 180 cm tall and towers over almost everyone he meets. He has dark brown hair which is unruly; his hair is not greying and he is not going bald. His eyes are a keen, intelligent blue; one of his eyes was punctured by a sword and he wears an eyepatch over his right eye. Many would describe him as dark and brooding but that betrays his kind and intelligent nature.

Susa Ereh appears mysterious to most of the court. A warrior who became an obligator who became a nobleman who became an assassin. Their perception of him is clouded; they view as a hard, cold, dishonourable man who would kill a man for a handful of coins.

When he first joined the court he attempted to appear unthreatening but when he realised that in his line of work it was difficult to remain unthreatening for long. Therefore, he tries to remain as neutral as he possibly can to stop more powerful houses to try to destroy him.

He is not unkind to skaa; he had many skaa friends when he was a soldier. He is clever, resourceful and not unkind but he is in a desperate position and will take actions he would not normally consider. Towards high noblemen he feels contempt and is disgusted by their treatment of the skaa.

Despite this he is not a member of the skaa rebellion and feels much loyalty for the Steel Ministry. He is not a good or bad man and is more focused on what needs to be done than the morality of his actions.

Strengths: Susa is a master tactician, scholar, realmatic theorist, politician and warrior. He is a smart and kind man and a fantastic leader and speaker.

Weaknesses: While being kind Susa’s years at war hardened him. He does not feel any sympathy towards the skaa but he still has many friends from the army who were skaa. He is prone to manipulating people and his time as a scholar causes him to be overly analytical.

Susa was born in the year 862 FE to Ivan and Sara Ereh. House Ereh was a weak house in the farmost dominance and was on the verge of financial collapse at the time Susa’s birth.

At the age of 15 Susa joined the Belinsk garrison to earn the money he and his house desperately needed. Susa was extremely skilled at war and quickly rose to command earning a name for himself.

He remained a soldier for 25 years until the battle of Belinsk in the year 902 FE. During the battle he lost his right eye and the rest of his company was killed by raging koloss. While he lay on the battlefield dying he snapped to his powers; unsure of what his allomancy meant he left his ancestral home of Belinsk and travelled to Luthadel.

Once he arrived in Luthadel he joined the Canton of Orthodoxy wanting to understand his powers. He learned much about the metallic arts and discovered that he was a duralumin misting. He became interested in scholarly pursuits and became a well known scholar: respected for his work on allomantic theory. Susa rose through the ranks of the Steel Ministry quickly like he did in the army.

During the course of his research Susa experimented with his allomantic talents. Due to his experimentation Susa became a duralumin savant. He found that flaring duralumin for a long period of time provided an effect similar to a slow burn of all the allomantic metals.

Much to the confusion of many nobles and obligators Susa left the Steel Ministry in the year 916 FE. The truth was that Susa felt guilty for ignoring his house finances and as the last living member of his house he felt that he was being irresponsible in ignoring his house.

Susa has become a skilled member of the court and a brilliant politician. With his abilities and business deals he may be able to save his house from their crippling debt.

Susa Ereh crouched in the shadows next to Keep Sureau’s walls. He carried two obsidian daggers at his waist: like those mistborn wore. He felt the familiar warmth of duralumin in his stomach. He had been forced to burn the metal ever since his experiment all those years ago when he worked as an Obligator which had made him a Savant.

He stayed crouched, silent, next to the wall until the door opened revealing his prey for the night: Gabriel Sureau. House Ereh had been forced to resort to slightly disreputable ways of earning money. Like assassination. Hired assassins were expensive and the profession paid well. Therefore, it was a mystery to many why House Ereh was still in economic troubles. The reason is that duralumin is very expensive.

Gabriel Sureau was not important member of his house and his assassination would not lead to all out war. Hopefully. That would be bad for business. Gabriel Sureau was followed by about a dozen guards and that group probably contained a thug, tin eye and a coin shot. Gabriel himself wasn't an allomancer or if he was he was very skilled at hiding it from the network of spies Susa had in the Steel Ministry and the noble court.

Susa stayed in the shadows as he followed his prey trying to remain out of sight. It was important that he was out of range of any coin shots on top of Keep Sureau’s towering walls. He was no mistborn and if he couldn't dodge a coin fired at him, it would hit him and he would die.

His powers were often mistaken for those of a mistborn and it was probably better for him if that was what the court thought. As far as he understood it a normal duralumin misting who burnt their metal would gain no benefit. In the process of becoming a savant the allomancer’s soul would become connected to the cognitive realm: the source of investiture and thought. When a duralumin savant burnt their metal the duralumin would cause them to gain extra investiture like how burning duralumin with another metal would cause the metal burn more quickly giving them extra power.

Being a duralumin savant was very dangerous even more so than being a pewter savant; it was like pewter dragging but with the soul. Susa hypothesised that if he stopped burning his duralumin his soul would have wracked up an investiture debt so large his soul would be instantly destroyed in payment. It was not a theory he ever wanted to test.

His investiture wasn't as refined as the metals of the mistborn. He could not affect things outside his body and the advantages it gave him while it could be compared pewter or zinc it was far less sophisticated. He thought that his powers were actually more like those of the people of Terris than those of allomancy.

Anyway, those are only my theories. They may be completely false. Susa noticed that he was out of view of Keep Sureau so he decided that this was probably his best chance to attack his enemies. He jumped up from his crouch in a soaring leap and he whipped both of his daggers from their sheaths on his belt.

Unlike most mistborn he knew Susa was not an arrogant idiot with the tactical acumen of a stunned chicken. It would be suicide for him to attempt to fight all these guards and anyway these men would call for help and possibly a mistborn. He could fight a mistborn and not die; you didn't remain a hired assassin for long in Luthadel if you could be killed by a mistborn. Still, in a fight with a mistborn he would not fare well and if he had to fight mistings as well he would surely die. So, in a move that would stun most assassins Susa had met the first person Susa attacked when he landed in the group of guards was the man he was paid to kill.

I was looking around the forums and thought that it would be fun to play Mistborn: Inquisition. Would have anyone have any advice for a new player.
